Main Type
- Pipe Laser Marker: Non-contact type that create marks by directly ablating the material surface with a laser beam. They offer high precision, fast speed, permanent marking, zero consumables, and low running costs, but the upfront equipment investment is higher.
- Inkjet markers: Non-contact devices that spray ink droplets from a nozzle to form characters or patterns on the pipe surface. Extremely fast and well suited for high-speed production lines, they can print on irregular surfaces. However, they require ongoing ink supply, so long-term costs add up, and the marks can be rubbed off or fade over time.
- Thermal transfer printers: Deliver abrasion-resistant imprints. They require solid type blocks or stamping dies, so changing the marking information is somewhat cumbersome. The process also has specific requirements for pipe surface roundness and temperature control.
